Object: be the first player to move all 10 of your marbles from your star (one tip of the board) into the opposite star — the tip directly across the board.

Setup: this is the classic 2-player layout. Player 1 (gold) starts in the top star, Player 2 (blue) in the bottom star, each filling all 10 holes of their tip.

Your turn: move exactly one marble, in one of two ways:

• Step — slide into any of the 6 adjacent empty holes.
• Hop — jump in a straight line over exactly one marble (either color) into the empty hole behind it. You may chain as many hops as you like in a single turn, changing direction at every landing, but you may not land in the same hole twice in one move.

Landing rules: you may only land in an empty hole. You can never land on (or pass through) a hole occupied by another marble — you jump over them instead.

Strategy: build hop highways with your own marbles, and use your opponent's marbles as bridges — but beware of leaving them a free ride across the board.

Winning: the first player to completely fill the opposite star with all 10 marbles wins. Play is live and online — your opponent sees every move instantly.
